This is 7-12 of my fragmented self image.

I wanted to incorporate the idea that we are made up of a small portion of everyone we have met and been influenced by. For each photograph I have used a lesson, a body part, and a family member. Each body part corresponds directly to the lesson learned by the family member.
The handwritten text was inspired by photographers Jim Goldberg and Duane Michals.

A few days ago I made a post about people sending in their suicide notes for my current project. However, a few people thought that if I asked people to write their hypothetical last words that would work out well too.
So, if you would like to send me your hypothetical suicide note, it would be…

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I’ve recently been working on a new art project about suicide notes. Not suicide itself but the actual notes that people write while preparing for their final moments.
I have a rather large favor to ask of you, the general public.
I need copies of your suicide notes.

Please! Please! Please!
Hey Followers!
I’m spending the weekend in Eaton, North Georgia, with my aunt. Today we’re taking a trip to South Pitsburgh. Hopefully I’ll be getting some good photos to share with you. If not, I still have some that need posting from earlier on in the break.
Last two!
1. I drew this when I took my roommate, Isaiah, to the emergency room.
2. “These flowers died. As all flowers do.”
Update! I haven’t been doing a lot of photography lately because I’ve been swamped. Some friends wanted me to post some things I’ve been working on in my classes so here we go!
1. This is the first print I pulled from the press this year. Quite terrible. This is a better photo than the one I last posted.
2&3. A diptych I did for my intaglio project. This is a test print on newsprint as I don’t have the finals back yet. I’m still working on these. I’ve since introduced a larger pinwheel in each to give more value and a clear focal point.
4. Wonky photo of my collagraph elephant! This is made from a woodblock with decorative paper, string, gauze, and glue. The photo looks like this cause I recently had it framed and now I can’t get to it. -_- It’s roughly 45”x25”
5. A drawing I did in my sketchbook inspired by a friend of mine who is a fencer. It’s charcoal in my moleskin.
6. A study paining of a David Hockney to prep for my own watercolor.
7. My watercolor! It’s of the lighthouse from the marshes in Battery Park. Adventure!
8. A sketchbook page of skulls in my moleskin.
9. A sketchbook page I lit on fire. It says, “I thought lighting this page on fire was a good idea.”
10. “My warm cup of tea comforts me when I’m all alone.” The color around it is from the actual tea. Inside the tea bag is a fortune that says, “You will have many friends when you need them.”
11. “I wish my cup of coffee could read me poetry. I bet it could serenade me with the most beautiful verses.”
